2026 Junior Public Links Championship

Location: Oak Marsh Golf Course

Entry Fee: $70, limited to first 96 Juniors entered

Registration Opens: March 2, 2026

Registration Closes: June 10, 2026

Format: 18 Hole Stroke Play with both boys and girls flights by age. Prizes will be awarded to the low 18 hole score in each age flight. The low 12 players and ties (both boys and girls) regardless of age group will play an additional 9 holes. The MPGA Junior Public Links Champions (both boy and girl) will be the players with the lowest 27-hole score regardless of age division. In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.

Eligibility: Entry is open to any boy or girl amateur golfer who is 13-18 years old looking to compete with other players their age for a state championship.

The Minnesota Public Golf Association (MPGA) reserves the right to offer at its discretion a Special Invitation to the MPGA Junior Public Links. This invitation may be extended to younger players, not meeting the minimum age requirement, who have demonstrated exceptional skills that would contribute to both the competitiveness of the field and the overall experience of the event.

Player Points: MGA Player Points will be awarded as per the published MGA Player Point Distribution.

Exemptions: The Boy with the low 27-hole score regardless of age division will receive free entry into the 2026 MPGA State Public Links Championship. The Girl with the low 27-hole score regardless of age division will receive free entry into the 2025 MGA State Women’s Amateur Championship.

Special Awards: The Boys and Girls Champions names will be engraved on the Don Hawkins Memorial Trophy which is permanently on display at the Minnesota Golf Hall of Fame. Both the Boys and Girls Champions will also receive a State Championship Trophy and an invitation to the MPGA Fall Banquet.

Special Note: Power carts are not allowed. However, caddies are allowed at the MPGA Junior Public Links Championship as long as the caddie is NOT a parent, step-parent, or guardian.

An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after registration for the competition has closed.
